Comfortable controls make The Ranchers playable across long sessions — whether you are watering crops, placing barn blueprints, or aiming in mines. RedPilz simplified controls ahead of Early Access: camera on right mouse, tools on left mouse, single-button building placement, and full PlayStation controller support with proper button icons.

Design philosophy

The Ranchers targets full controller support alongside keyboard — unusual depth for open-world farming sims. Seamless co-op means mixed input groups are common: one player on gamepad, another on mouse.
